Earth getting hotter, meteorologist confirms

(This analysis by the meteorologist is a perfect example of NOT putting the analysis of climate change issues into proper context. This is the same misleading mistake made by many 'scientists' all over the world, even though their short term analysis might be correct. WHY? As I've explained in "Climate Change Over Geological Time", there have been 8 major climate cycles over the past 1 million years. A global glacial ice age typically lasts about 100,000yrs and is followed by about 10,000yrs of warming & then the cycle is repeated. We are already at the end of the latest inter-glacial warming phase, which means that we are already heading into the next glacial ice age. The minimum time scale you must examine is 1,000 years to get a sense of which direction the climate is heading. By itself, 1000 years of data doesn't tell us which direction climate changes are happening. We must know whether we are in the glacial ice age or inter-glacial warming phase. Most of the people making this mistake are either pushing a political agenda or don't understand long term climate cycles. — RAD)

Temperatures have been rising by 0.2 degrees Celsius every decade, meteorologist Roman Vilfand said.

MOSCOW, January 16. /TASS/. The last ten years were the warmest decade in history, with each passing year becoming hotter than the last, research director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand said.

"The last decade, from 2015 to 2024, was the warmest ten-year period since observations began. Each year has been warmer than the previous one, going back to 1850. Notably, on July 22, the Earth recorded the highest average daily temperature ever - 17.16 degrees [Celsius]," Vilfand said.

Temperatures have been rising by 0.2 degrees Celsius every decade, the meteorologist said. Tropical and equatorial latitudes particularly have seen substantial warming, contributing greatly to these figures.

Vilfand also highlighted that 2024 saw a record number of days marked by extreme "heat stress," which negatively impacts human health and well-being, Vilfand noted.

Last year was the warmest year in Earth’s history, the expert emphasized, marking an alarming trend.
